Suffolk was part of the kingdom of East Anglia which was settled by the Angles in the 5th century. The name Suffolk may have originated with the Danish settling in East Anglia (South folk). Suffolk is now the 8th largest county in England. It has a number of ancient villages and historic and picturesque market towns as well as some beautiful castles and windmills.
