Norfolk is one of the largest counties in England and yet is easy to miss. It's
not on a route to anywhere, so you have to make a special effort to go there. It
is worth the trip. It is a pretty county with lots of picturesque villages and few large towns.
Although it has been inhabited since before the Romans (and was home to Boudica),
it gets it's name from the the "North Folk" of East Anglia. Norwich is the only
City but the main tourist attractions are the beaches and the network of rivers
and lakes known as the Norfolk Broads. Norfolk is also where the ancestors of Abraham
Lincoln lived in the village of Hingham.
