I've been working in Johannesburg recently but haven't seen
much of the city in day light. Perhaps next time. I did get to a game park though.
The Pilanesberg National Park is one of South Africa's largest
national parks, covering an area of 55,000ha and is located about 2
hours from Johannesburg . The Pilanesberg area is in fact the crater
of a long extinct and eroded volcano, thought to have been formed
1,200 million years ago.
I was taken for a morning visit and had a great time. I'd no idea we
would see so many animals in about 5 hours. It's just a shame that I
didn't have the "good" camera with me.
