Lions and Elephants In Pilanesberg

The Lions were difficult to see in the long grass. They sat on the mound watching for prey coming to the water hole. They are very well camouflaged in the dry grass. When they crossed the road. there were so many cars that it was difficult to get a decent photograph.

The elephants were standing in the trees sheltering from the sun. Only their ears were moving. Of course they were standing with their backs to the road - probably safer but less good for the camera.
