The Princes Highway from Adelaide goes through Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge down through the Coorong National Park, through Robe amd on to Mount Gambier. It meets the Great Ocean Road at Warrnambool and then takes the more direct road to Geelong and Melbourne.
Recognised as one of the world's most scenic drives, the route from Adelaide to Melbourne stretches for over 300 kilometres and for most of the distance it is possible to follow the coastline. Take the opportunity to see the Giant Lobster and visit the Tractor Museum in Kingston, and the National Trust Museum in Millicent. Also go to Robe, the Coonawarra vineyards, Penola and Mount Gambia before joining the Great Ocean Road.
