Australia is a huge country a long way from everywhere, but is definitely worth the long flight to get there. It is the world's 13th-largest economy and has the world's sixth-highest per capita income. Australia's size gives it a wide variety of landscapes, with subtropical rain forests in the north-east, mountain ranges in the south-east, south-west and east areas, and a dry desert in its centre. It is the flattest continent with the oldest and least fertile soils. Much of its flora and fauna is unique and it has more poisonous creatures than anywhere else. Luckly I managed to miss them all and have spent many happy hours sightseeing across the country.
The following pages are a small sample of the 2500 photographs that I have taken in Australia in five short trips.
