This open-air museum shows what life was like in Kent over the past 150 years. It covers an area of about 28 acres and features many buildings from around the County, which have been saved from destruction and restored.
I know that I'm getting old, but one of the things that I particularly like about this small museum is the fact that I remember some of the things shown here being in use when I was a child, like parties and dances in the village hall.
The Museum of Kent Life is one of the few remaining places in Britain where hops are grown, harvested, dried and packed in a double Oast house by hand, using traditional techniques.
