Nelson's column

Trafalgar Square Lion

London's most famous square was laid out in the 1830's to commemorate Nelson's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Nelson's column is 185 feet high with a 17 foot high statue of Nelson on the top. The lions are bronze.
